1. Audax Car Rear Axles
(with thanks to A. Wilson)
The rear axle units from the early vehicles are narrower than those in
the Series VI (and Gazelles)

Series VI on left - note the concave hub center |
Early axle housing - lip is approx. 22mm |
Series VI axle housing - lip is approx. 25mm. The bearing also has an integral oil seal. |
2. Swapping your manual gearbox with an overdrive gearbox
The overdrive gearbox for an 'Audax' car is 5.85cm longer
than the standard gearbox.

Audax Car Standard Gearbox |
The overdrive gearbox for an 'Arrow' car is the same length
as the standard gearbox.
Two piece prop shafts can be swapped for a single piece prop shaft.
An overdrive unit cannot simply be 'bolted onto' a manual gearbox,
as the overdrive gearbox requires a longer drive-shaft.
3. Audax Car Stub Axles
(with thanks to A. Wilson)
The stub axle units from the early vehicles are lower than those in
the Series VI (and Gazelles)
